Description

Smart Grid [General] is a flexible trading robot based on a grid trading strategy. It is designed for a wide range of traders and allows easy management of trading settings. The robot automatically trades in the cryptocurrency market, and traders can adjust the settings to change risk levels, trade size, and the portfolio of cryptocurrencies.

Main Parameters

isTradeAllowed

  • Description: This parameter controls if trading is allowed. If set to false, the robot will not trade, even if other settings are in place.
  • Default Value: false

coins

  • Description: A list of cryptocurrencies that the robot will trade. It is written as a string with the names of cryptocurrencies separated by commas.
  • Default Value: 'BCH,XRP,EOS,TRX,XLM,XMR,DASH,ZEC,XTZ,ATOM,ONT,IOTA,BAT,VET,NEO,QTUM,IOST,THETA,ALGO,ZIL'
  • Effect:
  • Diversification: Allows the distribution of risk by trading different cryptocurrencies. Some of them are more volatile, which can affect the overall success of the strategy.
  • Relation to Other Parameters: If the portfolio contains highly volatile coins, it is recommended to select a less aggressive strategy level (aggressionLevel) or reduce the trading balance (workingBalance).

aggressionLevel

  • Description: This sets how aggressive the strategy is. It controls the frequency of trades and the level of risk. Options include: 'Very Conservative', 'Conservative', 'Balanced', 'Aggressive', and 'Very Aggressive'.
  • Default Value: 'Balanced'
  • Effect:
  • Risk and Trade Frequency: A more aggressive level increases trading frequency and risk but can also increase potential profit. Less aggressive levels reduce risk and the number of trades.
  • Relation to workingBalance: When choosing a more aggressive level, it is recommended to use a smaller portion of the workingBalance for each trade to avoid too much risk.

workingBalance

  • Description: The total amount of money in USD that the robot will use for trading.
  • Default Value: 500
  • Effect:
  • Trade Size: This parameter sets the maximum amount the robot can use for trades. A higher balance allows for more trades or larger trades, but it also increases overall risk.
  • Relation to aggressionLevel: If you select a high level of aggression, be more cautious with the size of the workingBalance, as aggressive strategies can quickly use up a large part of the capital, increasing the risk of loss.

symbols

  • Description: A list of trading pairs used for testing the strategy.
  • Default Value: 'BCH/USDT, BTC/USDT, ADA/USDT, ETH/USDT, XRP/USDT, TRX/USDT, SOL/USDT, LTC/USDT, BNB/USDT, DOGE/USDT'
  • Effect:
  • Testing: Used for simulation and checking how the strategy would perform with historical data. Although this parameter does not affect real-time trading, it helps select the best trading pairs to use.

Additional Adjustable Parameters

  • basketProfit (default: 1): The profit percentage at which the robot will close the basket of assets.
  • rbPercent (default: 4): The percentage change in price that determines when to buy or sell in the grid strategy.
  • rbDynamicFactor (default: 1.5): A dynamic factor that adjusts the strategy based on market changes.
  • rbSizeFactor (default: 1): A factor that determines the size of positions during rebalancing.

Smart Grid [General] is a flexible robot for managing trading operations. The key parameters — aggressionLevel, coins, and workingBalance — play an important role in managing risk and profit. Properly adjusting these parameters allows the trader to optimize the strategy according to their preferences and market conditions.
