Description

The trading robot "Hedge Gap [General]" provides a robust framework for managing trades and hedges with flexibility. By adjusting parameters like aggressionLevel, workingBalance, gapPercent, and others, traders can fine-tune the strategy to match their risk tolerance and market outlook. Understanding how these parameters interact ensures that the robot's performance aligns with trading objectives, making it a versatile tool for both conservative and aggressive trading styles.

Adjustable Parameters

isTradeAllowed (runtime):

  • Description: A toggle to enable or disable trading.
  • Default Value: false
  • How It Works: When set to true, the robot will execute trades based on the strategy. This is a critical control switch that directly influences whether the robot engages in market activity.

coins (runtime):

  • Description: A list of cryptocurrencies that the robot will trade.
  • Default Value: BCH, XRP, EOS, TRX, XLM, XMR, DASH, ZEC, XTZ, ATOM, ONT, IOTA, BAT, VET, NEO, QTUM, IOST, THETA, ALGO, ZIL
  • How It Works: Defines the assets that the robot will monitor and trade. It works together with the symbols parameter to identify which trading pairs to use in the strategy.

aggressionLevel:

  • Description: The risk level determines how aggressively the robot will trade.
  • Options:
  • Very Conservative
  • Conservative
  • Balanced (Default)
  • Aggressive
  • Very Aggressive
  • How It Works: This parameter directly influences the robot's risk management and trading style. For example, a "Very Aggressive" level might involve larger trade sizes or a higher frequency of trades, while a "Very Conservative" level may limit trades to the most favorable conditions. This setting is interlinked with other parameters like workingBalance and sellFactor to manage overall risk.

workingBalance (runtime):

  • Description: The amount of balance the robot will use for trading.
  • Default Value: 500
  • How It Works: This parameter sets the maximum amount of capital the robot can use. It is directly related to aggressionLevel as a higher aggression level might allocate a larger portion of this balance for individual trades. Adjusting this parameter allows traders to control risk exposure and capital management.

symbols (tester):

  • Description: Specifies the trading pairs used for testing the strategy.
  • Default Value: BCH/USDT, BTC/USDT, ADA/USDT, ETH/USDT, XRP/USDT, TRX/USDT, SOL/USDT, LTC/USDT, BNB/USDT, DOGE/USDT
  • How It Works: Used during backtesting to assess the strategy's performance on specific trading pairs. In conjunction with the coins parameter, it sets the framework for which assets to optimize and test before deploying the strategy in a live environment.
